Who Is This For?

This service is suitable if you are preparing for surgery or rebuilding strength and movement afterwards.

Your plan will be tailored to your procedure, current ability and goals — whether you want to walk more comfortably, return to exercise or get back to sport.

Common Symptoms and Challenges

  • Pain, stiffness or swelling

  • Reduced movement or weakness

  • Difficulty walking, using stairs or completing daily activities

  • Reduced confidence after surgery

  • Preparing for a joint replacement, ACL reconstruction or other orthopaedic procedure

How Physiotherapy May Help

Before surgery, physiotherapy can help improve your strength, mobility and confidence.

After surgery, your rehabilitation plan will guide you through the right exercises at the right stage, helping you restore movement, rebuild strength and return to the activities that matter to you.

What Happens During Treatment?

Your first session will assess your movement, strength and current limitations before creating a clear rehabilitation plan. Treatment may include progressive exercises, mobility work, hands-on techniques and guidance on safely increasing activity. Your programme will be adapted as you recover and aligned with your surgeon’s advice.
